The Lancia Stratos was developed with competition at the center of its design rather than adapting an existing production car for rallying. Its extremely short wheelbase, lightweight construction and mid-engine layout helped create one of the most distinctive rally cars of the 1970s.

The Stradale was the road-going homologation version of the Stratos, retaining the radical Marcello Gandini-designed wedge profile, wraparound windshield and compact proportions of the competition car. The production Stratos used a mid-mounted Ferrari Dino-derived V6, giving the road car mechanical credentials every bit as interesting as its unmistakable shape.

Mini GT's 1:64 interpretation captures the Stratos' unusual proportions, including the sharply tapered nose, wraparound glass area, flared wheel arches, rear deck and compact cabin. Real rubber tires, detailed lighting, exterior trim and underbody detailing complete the model.

This example is the Raw Metal Chase version of MGT00846. Instead of the gloss Nero black finish of the standard release, the chase exposes the metal body and adds gold wheels.
