The 1955 Chevrolet Nomad combined the styling of Chevrolet's new-for-1955 passenger cars with a distinctive two-door wagon body. Unlike the more conventional family wagons of the period, the Nomad featured unique roof treatment, angled rear pillars and extensive exterior trim. It became one of the most recognizable models from Chevrolet's 1955–1957 Tri-Five generation.
This GreenLight Estate Wagons Series 2 release adds a period-inspired recreational setup with a roof rack carrying surfboards. Whitewall tires, chrome-style exterior trim and the detailed Nomad bodywork complete the vintage presentation.
This example is the Green Machine chase version of the release, making it considerably harder to find than the regular production model. The chase treatment combined with the Nomad casting, Estate Wagons packaging and roof-mounted surfboard accessories makes this a particularly interesting release for GreenLight, Chevrolet, Tri-Five and classic wagon collectors.
